Double-Click for Trouble by Chris Woodworth (162 pages)

Cover image for Double-click for troubleWhen thirteen-year-old Eddie McCall is caught by his single mother looking at an inappropriate internet site, she does something drastic.  She sends him to spend his 4-week vacation at his Great Uncle Peavey’s house on the Indiana countryside.  Eddie can’t believe he’s being shipped off just for being curious about girls, and he is less than thrilled at the idea of spending his summer with a shy, quiet old man.  Since he’s never had a father around, Eddie hopes that Peavey will talk to him about some of the things he can’t ask his mom, but soon discovers that Peavey has never even been on a date!  Although the premise seems a little risque, this book is pretty tame and many parents will probably be impressed by Eddie’s single mom’s stance on Internet safety.
